Moms, you have one of the top two most difficult jobs in the world. What's the other one —being a father? The sad fact of life is that those doing these two most difficult jobs too often work at odds with one another instead of as a team — but that situation can't always be helped. Moms, you may never be able to change the dad in your child's life — it's often a futile effort — but you can do some things to help your child become the person God created him or her to be. Being “mom capable” is not an easy job, and it's not for the faint of heart. It requires some tough decisions — decisions that are sometimes both risky and heart-wrenching. But the foundation of those decisions is God's promise that he will provide a way for the child that is surrendered to his care. Moms, don't underestimate your role in your child's life. Don't underestimate the influence you will have. Many great people throughout history attribute their success to their mother. Just by being mom capable, you have the opportunity to influence your children, to inspire them to greatness, and, through them, to change the world.
