Please mark your calendars for the Children’s Ministry Luncheon on Sunday, August 15 after worship. Lunch will be served for any adult and their family that is interested in the Children’s Ministry from Sunday School, Extended Session, Special events, driving a van or making donations of supplies and or ideas.  Please RSVP to the church office if you will be able to come so we’ll have enough food.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The First Christian Church members were great to give their time to make the Nights in the Park a wonderful community event.  I was so thrilled to see how many were willing to work so hard even in the heat to serve our children.  We have a new opportunity to show our concern to the children and the families of Athens.  We will be serving Hot Dogs, Cookies and drinks to school children and their families on Aug. 18^that Athens Intermediate School and Aug. 20^th on our church parking lot for South Athens Elementary.  We need church members to help  serve because we need to serve about 800 each night.  This will be a good way to serve our community  and one of the best ways we can let the community know that we care about children.  If you can help, please sign up (sign up sheets located in Narthex) or call the church office.

August 22 -  Award Program begins for

children’s attendance.

September 18 - Award Program party at “The Villages Water Park”
